Legends of the New York Independent Film scene, Producers Christine Vachon and Ted Hope will present some of their iconoclastic collaborations (Happiness, Velvet Goldmine, American Splendor) as well as their insight into the future of the industry. Addressing issues such as downward pressure on budget, creative conflicts, international financing, Vachon and Hope will discuss how to break through and make films that truly matter.
Christine Vachon is a big resource within Independent Film and owner of KILLER FILMS. She is known for producing cutting edge and quirky film with upcoming performers and directors.

Ted Hope founded and am working at the New York production company THIS IS THAT with his partner Anne Carey. The production company THIS IS THAT’s first release was the award nominated 21 Grams directed by Alejandro Gonzáles Iñárritu.
Ted Hope has previously co-founded GOOD MACHINE with James Schamus which was sold Universal in 2002. Ted Hope has been able to work and spot many upcoming directors.
