Cinematographer Peter Deming ASC, Lost Highway, Mulholland Drive, Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn will visit our Post Graduate Training Department March 27th and 28th for a 2-day seminar.
In a conversation with Cinematographer Sophie Winqvist we will focus on Peter Deming's work on films such as Drag me to Hell and Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn by Sam Raimi, Twisted by Philip Kaufman, Mulholland Drive and Lost Highway by David Lynch, Scream by Wes Craven, Austin Powers by Jay Roach, The Cabin in the Woods by Drew Goddard, The Jacket by John Maybury, From Hell by Albert and Allen Hughes among many others.
Peter Deming has worked on more than 40 feature films ranging from romantic comedy to horror. He combines small arthouse film with huge blockbusters. During the seminar we will focus on the story, preparation, inspiration, visual style, camera movement, collaboration with directors, gaffers, production designers and screen clips from some of the films, commercials, music videos and shorts Peter Deming has been working on. We will try to show some rare shorts and commercials made with Lynch.
